Mark Sessions, Managing Director

Mark has been involved in the Financial Services sector since 1981. He worked for Legal & General until 1996 when he  joined Bateson & Payne (now Harvey Curtis Associates Ltd) as an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).

Mark started Shoal as he wanted to take a different approach to financial planning and investment management.

When not working Mark manages a local under 7′s football team and enjoys most sports. A particular passion is Scuba Diving which was part of the reasoning behind the Shoal name.

Sue Sessions, Director

Sue has worked in the financial services sector for a number of years starting with NPI. She then worked for Grant Thornton for nearly twenty years in a research and report writing role. Over the years she has developed a number of contacts with accountancy firms in Brighton and Sussex.

Richard Ayling, Adviser

Richard has worked in banking and financial services since 1986 and spent nearly 20 years with Legal & General.

Since becoming a financial adviser in January 2008, he has established his clientele on a firm belief that the provision of clear, honest advice and excellent customer service are fundamental to building a strong lasting business relationship to help people achieve their financial goals.

His leisure time is spent with family and friends, enjoying the countryside around the South Downs and trying, with difficulty, to learn Spanish.
